Who am I

Hey there! I’m Trace

Trace Keller, Boise wedding photographer and videographer, sitting on a concrete wall at dusk in a black polo, jeans and cowboy boots

I’m the one behind the camera and the editing process. I started shooting in 2022 and fell in love with capturing people’s stories. Every person has one, whether it’s a love story, a business they started, or a dream they’re chasing. I’m here to capture that story.

I’m all about capturing real moments: the smiles, the tears, the laughs. Every photo I take, I hope to capture something really special.

Where is Trace Keller Photography located?

Trace Keller Photography is based in Boise, Idaho. I live and work in Boise as a wedding photographer and videographer, and I'll travel anywhere.

How much does a Boise wedding photographer cost?

Wedding photography varies, but my Boise wedding collections run from $2,500 to $5,000: The Elopement Collection is $2,500 (4 hours), the Wedding Day Collection is $3,500 (8 hours), and The Full Story Collection is $5,000 (10 hours with a second photographer and a complimentary engagement session). Every wedding is unique, so I also tailor packages to your timeline and priorities. Reach out for a detailed pricing guide.

Do you offer a second photographer?

Yes. A second photographer is included in The Full Story Collection ($5,000).

How many hours of wedding photography coverage do I need?

Most full wedding days need 8 to 10 hours, from getting ready to the send-off. The Wedding Day Collection covers 8 hours and The Full Story Collection covers 10. An elopement usually fits in 4 hours.

How much does an Idaho elopement photographer cost?

My Elopement Collection is $2,500 and includes 4 hours of coverage, an online gallery, a Sneak Peek within 2 days and a 2-4 week turnaround. Travel and stay costs may apply.

How much do Boise engagement photos cost?

Engagement sessions are $400. Photos are delivered within 1-2 weeks through an online gallery. The Full Story Collection includes a complimentary engagement session.

How are the photos delivered, and how long does it take?

All photos are delivered through an online gallery that allows easy downloads and is shareable with friends and family. Weddings and elopements get a Sneak Peek within 48 hours to 2 days and the full gallery in 2-4 weeks. Engagement photos arrive in 1-2 weeks.

Do you travel for weddings outside of Boise?

Yes, travel is one of my favorite parts of what I do. I photograph weddings and elopements throughout Idaho (Sun Valley, McCall, Ketchum, Stanley, Coeur d'Alene, Sandpoint), the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Montana) and beyond, including destination weddings worldwide. Travel fees depend on distance and logistics, and every inquiry includes a custom travel quote.

Do you include an engagement session?

The Full Story Collection includes a complimentary engagement session, and I highly recommend taking advantage of it. Beyond getting gorgeous photos for your save-the-dates or wedding website, it's our chance to work together before the wedding day so you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera.

Where are the best places for engagement photos in Boise?

Popular Boise engagement session locations include Camel's Back Park, the Boise River Greenbelt, Bogus Basin, Hyde Park and Downtown Boise.

What should we wear for engagement or wedding photos?

Choose outfits that make you feel confident and complement each other without being too matchy. Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully in Idaho's landscapes. Avoid busy patterns, large logos and neon colors. Bring two outfits if you'd like variety, one dressy and one casual, and wear shoes you can walk in.

Do you also shoot wedding films?

Yes. I'm a Boise wedding photographer and an Idaho wedding videographer, so you can book photos, video or both. Wedding films are $3,000 for the Wedding Day Film (solo videographer, 8-10 minute film, ceremony edit, speeches edit and social media edit) and $5,500 for The Full Story Film (a second shooter, rehearsal dinner coverage, 12-15 minute film, ceremony edit, speeches edit and social media edit).

How much does an Idaho wedding videographer cost?

My wedding films start at $3,000 for a solo videographer and run to $5,500 for The Full Story Film, which adds a second shooter, rehearsal dinner coverage and a longer 12-15 minute film. Both include a ceremony edit and a speeches edit.

How far in advance should we book?

It doesn't matter how far ahead you book. It could be a year out or the week of. The earlier you reach out, the better your odds of getting your date, since busy season fills up fast. I'm now booking 2027 and 2028 weddings. Send your date through the inquiry form and I'll let you know if it's open.

How do deposits and payments work?

Once you confirm, I'll talk through the deposit with you to hold your date. I send an invoice for payment, so you can pay by card, check or whatever is easiest for you.

We don't know how to pose. Is that a problem?

Are you a wedding photographer and videographer in Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Kuna and Garden City?

Yes, that’s home turf! I’m based in Boise and Eagle, so I shoot wedding photos and make wedding films all over Ada County: Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Star, Kuna and Garden City. Send me your date and place and I’ll let you know if I’m open.

Do you shoot weddings in Nampa, Caldwell, Middleton and the rest of Canyon County?

Yep! I’m your wedding photographer and wedding videographer in Nampa, Caldwell, Middleton, Greenleaf, Melba, Notus, Parma and Wilder too. Every wedding is different, so tell me about your day and we’ll go from there.

Do you photograph and film weddings in McCall and Cascade, Idaho?

I do, and I love it up there. I photographed Skyler and Becca’s wedding at a wood and stone chapel in McCall, and I’m happy to be your McCall wedding photographer, Cascade wedding photographer or Idaho elopement photographer. I can film your wedding there too.

Will you travel for wedding photos and wedding films to Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Lewiston, Idaho Falls, Pocatello or Twin Falls?

Yes! I love to travel. I filmed Emma and Noah’s wedding in Coeur d’Alene, and Post Falls, Lewiston, Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Twin Falls are all on my list, along with Sun Valley, Ketchum and Stanley. I’ll send you a custom travel quote once I have your date and place.
